Gems in the mailbox

I came across these as part of an email chain today...

"Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days you're the statue."
I found this hilarious. Loved it. Although most of the times I feel like I'm the one who's just standing there and watching the fun.

"If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague."
Hmm, if I decided to take that seriously, I could one day have a PhD in decency.

Agree with the second part. I know a lot of people who are blunt to the point of being rude and totally oblivious of it !!

Loved that pigeon-wala quote. :P And I would love to be the pigeon and make all my enemies statues.

Noor, I am sometimes blunt on purpose. But I am so 'vaguely' blunt, that people might be sure of what I'm being blunt about :P But mostly I'm a wimp and scamper away from situations where I need to be blunt :)

Amen to your wish, Peeves.

Hey P,
am a wimp too :(
and then I get back home and wonder about all the nasty things i could have said, but didn't. The regret of not speaking up tastes pretty bitter :(

Yep, I am so cool only in retrospect. not when the situation demands.

The problem here is, sometimes we wonder if the other person was just being polite, or was it a real praise !!

I think I usually know what the other person is upto :)
